In William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, a long feud between the Montague and Capulet families disrupts the city of Verona and causes tragic results for Romeo and Juliet. Revenge, love, and a secret marriage force the young star-crossed lovers to grow up quickly.
Romeo - Brendan Williamson
Brendan first started acting in college while attending Christendom College. He was a part of shows such as The Three Musketeers, The Moonstone, Agatha Christie's Ten Little Indians, and a leading role in Father of the Bride. This is Brendan's first Shakespearean production and he is thrilled to have been able to work with such a great cast.
Juliet - Brittany Suddreth
This is Brittany's first stage experience since her Senior year of Highschool. Recently, Brittany has graduated from VCU with a BS in Biology, and she is currently applying to Medical School. Currently, she works the graveyard shift as an EMT at the Mary Washington Emergency Room.
Mercutio - Julie Allbeck
Julie has been involved in theater and other creative exploits since she was a child. Acting in any form has been a passion of hers, but she also dabbles in writing, costume-making (cosplay), Twitch streaming, and art. She loves the challenge of convincingly portraying a man and she is thrilled to be playing the flamboyant, flirtatious, flexible Mercutio.
Capulet - Stephen Brown
Stephen has worked with Stage Door and Bill Green before. "Tis a pleasure to do Theater! Thank you for attending and for supporting Theater!"
Samson/Watchman - Jaeden Cain
Jaeden is feuled by tea, sarcasm, and sheer will force when he can conjure it. He is excited to be sword fighting with Charlie and messing around with Desmond.
Ensemble - Jensen Cain
Benvolio - Eula Chaves
Eula has loved Shakespeare since she first read Romeo and Juliet as a Freshman and is thrilled to be playing Benvolio! She is a student at UMW and enjoys writing and swing dance.
Nurse - Laura Echevarria
Laura was bitten by the Theater bug in College, eventually changing her major to Speech Communications. She has appeared in and has directed numerous camp and church productions. This is her first Stage Door production!
Friar Laurence - Pedro Echevarria
Not being an athelete or a great student in Highschool, Pedro was drawn to performing. He continued performing in College and in some local venues after that. When not working in Washington DC, he loves being with his wife and their three children in his favorite roles of husband and father.
Peter - Desmond Freeman
Desmond likes to dance, sing, and act. This is his second Stage Door production!
Abram - Charlie Hilderbrand
This is Charlie's first time in Theater, although he has 30+ years of stage experience as a musician. Which is how he came to Stage Door ; playing music w/ Director Bill Green.
Prince - Roy Jarnecke
Roy Jarnecke has served Stage Door Productions as an actor, director, stagehand, and playwright. He is proud of his acting awards from Virginia Theater Association, Southeast Theater Association, and Stage Door Productions.
Tybalt - Paul Kartage
Paul is a barista, costumer, and competitive sword fighter. This is his third production with Stage Door, continuing a love of acting he has had since Highschool.
Choreographer/Ensemble - Lily McGrogan
Lily is a Senior at the Summit Academy, and is seventeen years old. She has been acting since she was twelve, mostly with her school. In her free time she enjoys watching movies, TV, hanging out with friends, and reading. "Enjoy the show!"
Lady Capulet - Jennifer McLaughlin
Theater has been a part of Jennifer's life since the 7th grade. Her mothers nickname for her is "Drama Queen". After ten years as a Director, she auditioned for Stage Door's production of Comedy of Errors last year, and played Adriana. She is very excited to play Lady Capulet this year.
